Understanding ecovillages

This blog has the purpose of sharing understandings and information about the ecological communities called ecovillages.

Mainly, it was opened by the author, Vicente Lombardozzi, in order to create a virtual space to share his sociological thesis about ecovillages, which is currently in Spanish language but has just started to be translated.

Similarly, his Ecological Economics master's thesis -originally in English- will be uploaded.

In the sociological thesis new ways to understand ecovillages are shared: ecovillages as a new way of community, a community based on organic solidarity. Also, a new sociological theory, The Organizational Vectors Theory, a product of the first thesis, is shared.

Meanwhile the sociological thesis is focused mainly on the social ways of organizing an ecovillage, on the ecological economics thesis, the economic aspect of the community is developed in more detail. Specifically, how the community manages in facilitating livelihood for its members, and how (communal) resilient the ecovillage is; offering as a conclusion, new ways to understand and enhance community resilience.

For any commentary, observation, request, contribution or invitation, you can contact me, Vicente Lombardozzi, on my email lombardozziv@gmail.com (I do love receiving ecovillages information and visiting them!).

I hope the information shared here might contribute to the ecovillage movement. Feel free to share it as you want.
